Is Your Astrology Sign Going To Change?

The answer to this question is not simple, it has both a yes and no answer.

A critical factor in answering this question comes from what method you use to determine your sign. If you adhere to the tropical zodiac sign's which are fixed on seasons and not dates, then supposedly nothing has changed with you sign. If your were a Leo then you are still a Leo now.

Now, if you follow a more traditional means, you know that the earths alignment is what is causing these changes in astronomy. Supposedly, they are not only changing but have added a 13th sign as well. This new 13th sign is known as Ophiuchus, and falls on the dates Nov.29- Dec. 17.

The actual debate on this new sign is still up in air, even though most astronomers have now added it to their list's. Not to mention that most people receive their signs the day they were born. If you were born under a certain sign most believe that this is fixed and not something that can simply be changed by telling them that is has. It was understood that the planets you were born under is in fact what decides your sign.

OK, so how is your sign found, this is simple on the day you were born the sun rose in front of one of these 13 signs and this sign is your Zodiac sign. You have to take into account that yes, 2000 years ago someone born in august would have seen the sun rise in front of the Leo constellation.

On the other hand, you have to know that where the sun rose 2000 years ago on say Aug. 1 is not where it will rise this year on the exact same date. This is due to the fact that the earth wobbles and has slightly shifted. Now a birthday on Aug. 1 labels you as a cancer and not a Leo.

Whether or not you give astrologists any type of consideration it is still a fun fact to look into. Here you thought all this time you were one sign and now you might possibly be another. Or perhaps you are dead set on remaining with the sign you have had since birth, that is fine as well. Astrology will always be full of if's and maybes and that is just something we learn to live with.
