  5. Fruits- Fruits have their own natural sweetness. Certain fruits are high in fiber and help lower blood sugar levels. Some of the most healthiest fruits are strawberries, avocados, kiwis, plums, apples, grapefruit, cherries, prunes, pears, peaches, oranges and grapes.

  6. Vegetables- Carrots, onions, garlic, sweet potatoes and beets are good sources. Raw garlic will raise your insulin production and increase the body's response to insulin.

  7. Flaxseed- Flaxseed if rich in Omega-3 and is low in carbohydrates. It is high in fiber and low in fat which helps lower blood sugar levels.
