The affiliate network, and the way it is set up generates revenues for the primary merchant as well. Many times the affiliate network pays a fee to the primary network it works through.

When they are able to attract business through the primary network, that primary network also makes money. A win win situation for all involved. The consumer attains the services desired, the primary network attains the initial viewing and exposure as well as a fee. The affiliate network is able to generate business and exposure.
